Was commissioned to photograph the incredible Charles Eugster, aged 95 at this event. There was a wonderful atmosphere and I will be posting a selection of pictures over the next few days.

In Torun last week I took time out to photograph some children. Running around sports people to try and catch the moment is pretty similar to photographing small children who can’t keep still.

Eighteen years ago I was in Torun, and there were these kids on the street. I was shooting with my Nikon FM2 on Fomapan a popular and cheap black and white film.
I’m curious to know what they are doing now, how they’ve turned out. Wonder if I can take some time out from shooting the European Masters in Torun next week to ask a local paper to see if they can help.

Back at Bajnok bikes today to capture some more images for an article to come out at the time of the annual car free day in Budapest known as Critical Mass
Feri has an amazing face. I’ve photographed him a few times over the last year. You can see the progression his attitude towards me in the pictures. He used to work as a coal delivery man but ill health in recent years means he is semi-homeless and unemployed. He’s generally sitting on a step in a doorway when the weather is good. I was with an artist friend when we saw Feri in the street. My friend invited him to model for a portrait. Feri was pleased to get paid for sitting in a warm room for a few hours. I wonder what he was thinking.
